This gelding is an elegant type. He is unlikely to be a big powerful type, looking much like his mother but retaining his father’s fabulous ability and style. He also has the Shogun blood that never fails to produce smaller, compact little horses. He would excel in any discipline but is certainly good enough for the showing world, very correct conformation and excellent feet. He is now now starting to fill out and mature a bit more. His temperament is amazing, very calm and sensible for one so young, a chap that doesn’t need lots of work to stay manageable and is happy to return to the job after days off. He is nowagoing well in the school being quite balanced with an energetic movement and nice free shoulder. William loves hacking out alone or in company.
William Orange is by the Hanoverian stallion Wanninger (Wenzel) This stallion was the best German Dressage stallion at Zwolle in 1998 and is half brother to Walk on Top World cup Champion 1998. He is a Grand Prix and Kur winner and is owned by Isobel Wessels. The Dam line includes the much-coveted Shogun bloodline, a producer of elegant and fast moving Event horses.
His Dam is Aunty Pesta, a lovely black mare, GSB Weatherbys registered T.B. who was bred for flat racing but bought out of training by her previous owner when the syndicate broke up. She had a successful career as a Riding Horse and Show Hack, was graded into the British Hanoverian Horse Society and also the British Warmblood Society main studbook for breeding purposes, and had excellent marks especially for her walk and easy temperament. She retired from competition sound. She was sired by Tirol (Thatching by Thatch) out of a mare by Lomond (Northern Dancer). She produced some stunning foals by Broadstone Chicago, West Country and Demonstrator.
This super gelding can be seen and tried at good facilities near Franham, Surrey.
